GRASTON TECHNIQUE
3/9/2007

Cindy Skiles, PT, of Teays Physical Therapy Center proudly announces their physical therapists, physical therapists assistants, and occupational therapists have recently received their certification in the Graston Technique.  A system of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, the Graston Technique is an effective tool in the treatment of soft tissue dysfunctions, chronic tendonopathies, post-surgical scarrring, and other commonly treated chronic and acute conditions.  This mode of manual therapy has been thoroughly researched and is being used by outpatient clinics across the country, professional athletics, and is being taught in many academic institutions.  TPTC is incorporating the Graston Technique into their daily treatment sessions including therapuetic exercise, neuromuscular reeducation, joint mobilization, and other programs.  Patients who experience pain and lack of mobility will benefit significantly from this technique.  Teays Physical Therapy Center is committed to continuing education for its staff and continual quality improvement in the rehabiliation of its patients.  TPTC therapists can be reached at 304-757-7293 in Teays Valley or 727-7293 in Saint Albans.
