Being involved is something that Savannah Hoff has no trouble doing. Participating in two sports is common for most athletes, but participating in two sports in the same season is something that Savannah Hoff takes pride in. “I love being active, I couldn’t imagine not doing it”, said Savannah. Savannah participates in the Lady General’s soccer and cross country teams and excels at both. Savannah has run cross country for 6 years and has started this season with two stellar performances. She placed 2nd at the Bridgeport Invitational and 4th this past week at the St. Mary’s cross country meet.

When Savannah was asked what she believed the success to her season was she responded, “having a team that works together and pushes each other.” A team that works to build each individual instead of tear them apart is a team that can accomplish anything. Savannah is excited to see what the rest of the season has in store for the Lady Generals.

A quote by Michael Korda once said, “One way to keep momentum going is to have constantly greater goals.” If this saying is true then Savannah has an abundance of momentum heading into this season. She has set a goal of getting at least one personal record (PR) during the regular season and placing top 10 in the state cross country meet. She has set the bar high for herself early, but plans on completing the goals she has set for herself.

Outside of playing soccer and running cross country, Savannah also runs track. When asked who inspires her most, she stated, “My coaches, they are constantly pushing me every day.” Savannah plans on continuing her love for sports with either running or playing soccer at the next level once she graduates from high school. “I just love what I do,” stated Savannah, “I couldn’t imagine it any other way.”
