By Anna Davis, ATC, Administrator of Fitness Operations

Teays Physical Therapy Center, Inc. & The Putnam Herald are pleased to present this week’s Male Gamer of the Week award to Christian Hill of Hurricane High School.

Son of CJ and Amy Pifer, Christian has been playing football since the age of four. “I haven’t known any different, I love it.” Christian plays running back for the Red Skins and so far this season has recorded over 1500 yards, 230 carries for 13 touchdowns. Being only a sophomore Christian has really made a mark on the team. “He is driven and has such a big heart for the game, I cannot wait to see where he is when he is a senior,” said assistant coach Jason Pratt.

This past week Hurricane made the trek to Hedgesville where they came out on top of the first round of the AAA playoffs with a score of 52-21. “It felt great,” stated Hill, “This week we just have to keep up the momentum and play like we did last week.” This week number eight Hurricane faces off with number one Huntington in the second round of the West Virginia High School Football Playoffs. “These boys have played great all season, I would love to see them go all the way,” said assistant coach Jason Pratt.

When Christian was asked who inspired him most he stated, “My coaches, they have pushed me and have made me excel more than I ever dreamed that I could.” Christian plans on continuing his football career after high school, he would also love to study to become a veterinarian. Outside of football and Christian is involved with a club in school and loves to hang out with this friends.
