Sarah Doerner, PT, MPT

PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Sarah Doerner earned her Bachelor of Arts in Human Performance and Health from West Virginia University in 2003, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She then received a Master of Physical Therapy from WVU in 2004 and was the co-recipient of the Outstanding Research Award. Her post-graduate education focuses on rehabilitation of orthopedic injuries, the McKenzie Method for treatment of spinal conditions, as well as post-operative and neurologic conditions. She is certified in Graston Manual Therapy Techniques.

She has been certified as a clinical Instructor through the APTA, and has served as such for physical therapy and physical therapist assistant students. She has worked as a physical therapist at TPTC since 2012.

Sarah became a physical therapist because it was a health career that allowed her to spend more time with her patients and advise them in ways to actively change their quality of life. She receives great joy in treating her patients and seeing them achieve the balance of clinic and family life her career allows. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and children, serving in her church, exploring WV on foot and bike, skiing, and traveling to her family’s farm.
