I feel stronger and more confident now that I have completed my formal therapy. Walking and my activity level are improving daily.

Running, bicycling and working on concrete floors for many years finally caught up to me and I have had severe bone-on-bone pain in both knees. I went to Dr. Castle for injections, which did not offer much relief. So after a year I flipped a coin and decided to have a left knee replacement. Knowing quite a few people who have had this surgery, I was aware that I had my work cut out for me getting back on my feet.

I chose TPTC mainly because it’s like 2 minutes from my house. I did no research ahead of surgery, but my neighbor did mention she had gone there for some rehab and liked the place. I was hesitant to go but knew it was necessary. In fact, when I had my knees scoped, I chose not to do formal therapy. I am so happy I made the great decision to go.

Erin greeted me my first day with my personal goals and a plan of action to get me back to my busy life.   She guided me through my exercise, charted my progress, checked my degree of comfort and asked if I was ready to move up to the next level as I showed progress over the sessions.

Erin shows a genuine interest in your improvement and utilizes a gentle toughness to get you where you want to be in your recovery. Over my eight weeks of therapy, I was able to work with all the other staff at some point. Promise, Taylor, Bethany and Doug were all professional, knowledgeable and seamlessly worked me through my routine as needed. The entire staff took the effort to know my name and greeted me every day I attended. Graduation day came and I got the T-shirt, which was cool. And I was happy to find out that I could continue to utilize the fitness program.

I feel stronger and more confident now that I have completed my formal therapy. Walking and my activity level are improving daily. I would highly recommend TPTC to anyone needing the services they provide.  The center is clean, comfortable, and well run with a staff that will help you achieve your goals. I hope to do my other knee replacement this fall. TPTC is the place I will return to for my therapy.
