Luikart Awarded Gamer of the Week Honors

Teays Physical Therapy Center, Inc. and The Putnam Herald are pleased to present this week’s Female Gamer of the Week to Junior, Alivia Luikart of the Buffalo High School basketball team.

Buffalo’s Alivia Luikart is helping lead her team to a successful season. The Buffalo Bison’s are currently 5-2 on the season. Luikart has been playing basketball for 8 years and enjoys the friendships shes made from playing. She became involved with the sport after watching her cousins play and decided to try it for herself. Luikart, #5, plays on her team as a point guard and has set a goal for her team to make it back to the state tournament this season. Luikart contributes the teams current success to lessons learned after a rough previous season. “We learned from our mistakes and continuously push each other to be our best”.

Luikart has been positively influenced by a group of seniors that she played with during her freshman year. She stated that they helped her become better and always pushed her to her greatest potential. This has helped shape her into the player that she is today. Luikart is currently in  the 4T at PCTC and after high school plans on attending Bridge Valley for the AMT program. The Buffalo Bison’s will be back in action January 4th at home versus the Scott Skyhawks at 7pm.

Please look for other local high school athletes to be named in next week’s female Gamer of the Week Sponsored by Teays Physical Therapy Center, Inc., and The Putnam Herald.
