When I first began therapy a week and a half after surgery, I walked in scared to death, my face was white, and I felt sick to my stomach.
A fall on my treadmill two years ago contributed to a knee problem that resulted in having a total knee replacement surgery in December 2016 by Dr. John Pierson. I needed physical therapy to help me recover from the surgery, and I chose TPTC because of their reputation, location, and convenience.
When I first began therapy a week and a half after surgery, I walked in scared to death, my face was white, and I felt sick to my stomach. I really did not know what to expect. After my initial visit, I was calm, happy, and relieved.
Activities I can do now that I could not do prior to therapy include walking without pain. I am gaining confidence in my knee and in myself now that I am able to walk without pain and a limp.
I would tell my family and friends needing therapy to have faith in your therapist at TPTC because they are committed to you and getting you back to your life. After my first visit with TPTC in St. Albans they made me feel relaxed, encouraged me, pushed me, guided me, and worked me. When I go to therapy I feel I improve each time. There is never a frown, and this always makes me feel ready to work when I walk in the door, even if I’m not at my best.
